Fuji Electric Holdings Co. Ltd. (Tokyo) is licensing Eastman Kodak\'s (Rochester, NY) organic light emitting diode (OLED) technology for use in the development of a color conversion matrix (CCM), full-color OLED display technology with the intention of offering flat-panel passive matrix displays, reports Kodak.
Fuji Electric\'s CCM technology uses a production technique called metal mask-less organic film deposition method, which reportedly could result in an improved manufacturing yield rate and greater reliability in full-color, passive matrix displays.
According to Kodak, more than 15 companies have licensed its OLED technology.
