LG.Philips Displays has announced the U.S. debut of its new product series, the Cybertube+ SuperSlim. The slim CPT (color picture tubes) gives the CRT TVs flat and stylish design with an affordable price tag, the company reports.

LG.Philips Displays' 32 in. and 21in. SuperSlim CPTs measure only 35 cm from front- to back-end, which is a depth reduction of 30 and 20 percent respectively, compared with any other CRT.

Both the 32 in. and 21 in. models measure approximately 38 cm, which is thinner and more compact than traditional 54 cm and 51 cm TV sets respectively.

LG.Philips Displays is also presenting a 29 in. SuperSlim prototype. This is currently in development stage.

The company has announced the production of its 32 in. SuperSlim in its Gumi, Korea manufacturing site. In addition, the company also said it has started the 21 in. SuperSlim production in its Nanjing, China manufacturing site.
