BTV, a producer of interactive display for digital signage and distance learning, become the world’s first broadcasting system to transmit live, HD endoscopic images when it displayed surgical procedures to the World Congress on Theraputic Endoscopy. The surgical team, which comprised the Wellesley team at St. Michael’s Hospital and visiting world experts, used HD endoscopes -- according to BTV, these outputs hadn’t been broadcast to offsite locations. A Barco ELM R12, 12,000-lumen, 3DLP projector displayed the process.
