Applied Nanotech Inc., a subsidiary of Nano-Proprietary Inc. (Austin, TX), has revealed a joint agreement with Shimane Masuda Electronics Co. Inc. (SME), Masuda, Japan, to create a joint pilot line to develop and manufacture carbon nanotube, electron emission-based lighting devices. SME will house the pilot line and provide the equipment and personnel, and Applied Nanotech maintains technical support and intellectual-property rights. The pilot-production period lasts through June 30, 2006.
